Why Is Giving  Important to The  Denmark Vesey Spirit of Freedom Monument Committee


 The Denmark Vesey Spirit of Freedom Monument Committee  is an independent, non-profit organization incorporated in the state of South Carolina.  It was chartered in 2001 to promote   present and future  historical , educational , and cultural development goals and needs of all communities in the South Carolina Low Country  especially the contributions of Generations of Americans of African descent to the complex cultural of the Southeastern United States of America.  It was formed for the purpose of managing assets  and maintaining appropriate donor records solely for the construction  of the Denmark Vesey Spirit of Freedom Monument and its related educational programs and projects. The organization receives, manages and distributes restricted and unrestricted endowment gifts, deterred gifts and special gifts -- all aimed toward building and maintaining outstanding historical and cultural programming  for all  Americans. 

Government funding for this project is extremly limited.  As a result, we must raise the vast majority of funds for this Memorial  from the community..  We need your help.  Thank you for Contributing to
